What are the types of FPC connectors?
FPC's full name is Flexible Printed Circuit board translated into Chinese is: flexible printed circuit board, popularly speaking, is made of soft material (material that can be folded and bent). It is very widely used. There are several functions on the mobile phone: one is to make a simple circuit connection, such as the screen cable we often say, and the other is to do complex circuits, which are used by PDAs.
FPC's full name is Flexible Printed Circuit board translated into Chinese is: flexible printed circuit board, popularly speaking, is made of soft material (material that can be folded and bent). It is very widely used, and it has several functions on the mobile phone: one is to make a simple circuit connection, such as the screen "wire" that we often say, and the second is to do complex circuits, which are used by PDAs. With the increase in the functionality of mobile phones, FPC will be used more widely.
There are many kinds of connectors on the mobile phone, among which FPC is one of them. The product types can be divided into internal FPC connectors and board-to-board connectors, externally connected I/O connectors, battery connectors and Camera Sockets.
FPC connector
The FPC connector is used for the connection of the LCD display to the drive circuit (PCB). Currently, the 0.4mm pitch product is mainly used, and the 0.3mm pitch product has also been widely used. With the recent trend of LCD drivers being integrated into LCD devices, the number of pins of FPCs has been correspondingly reduced, and related products have appeared on the market. In the longer term, FPC connectors will be expected to be integrated with other mobile phone components on the frame of mobile phones or their LCD modules.
Board to board connector
The development trend of board-to-board connectors in mobile phones is that the pitch and height of the pins are getting smaller and smaller. At present, the main focus is on 0.4mm pitch, which will gradually develop to 0.35mm or less, and the subsequent requirements are lower and have a shielding effect. At the same time, the height of the BTB (board-to-board connector) is gradually reduced to 0.9 mm.
l/O connector
The I/O connector is one of the most important access channels in mobile phones. It includes the connection of power and signal. The reduction of volume and product standardization will be the main direction of future development. Nowadays, more round and MiniUSB connectors are used. The MicroUSB connector for mobile phones is gradually developing under the impetus of the European Union and the GSM Association. The current mainstream market is 5pin, because each mobile phone manufacturer has its own mobile phone solution. The Micro USB connector has a trend of standardization and customization. At the same time, the earphone plug-in connector has the same development trend. In 2012, MicroUSB will mainly adopt the MicroUSB as the standard interface for charging. Nokia, Moto and SEMC have already established mobile phone manufacturers. Begin to take substantial steps. Later, the connector is required to be thinner, visually and waterproof.
